The Family Next Door – Sally Hepworth

So many great March releases – so little time! I’m catching up on spreading out these reviews from earlier in the month.

Thanks to St. Martin’s Press for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!

My Thoughts: 5/5 stars!

Any fans of BIG LITTLE LIES? Well, Sally Hepworth’s newest release THE FAMILY NEXT DOOR is the next book for you. Set in an idyllic little suburb, we’re asked the age old question, do you ever REALLY know your neighbors?

Pleasant Court is a small suburb and it’s the ideal neighborhood to raise a family. All the neighbors know each other, their kids play in the streets without worry, and they all seem to have the perfect homes. Then Isabelle Heatherington moves in. Unmarried and with no children, she doesn’t seem to fit into this neighborhood, so naturally that draws attention from some of the mothers.

Ange, Fran, and Essie all take an interest in getting to know Isabelle, but they all have their own secrets to hide. As their obsession with Isabelle grows, their dark secrets begin to slip out. Each couple isn’t as they seem and everyone has a few bombshell secrets hiding in their closets.

I think what I loved about this story was all the perspectives as the story progressed and more information came to light. People trying to hide the truth and others wanting to uncover it. Who can you trust? Do you every truly know your friends and neighbors? I don’t want to give away too much info with this story, but know that there are plenty of twists and turns throughout!

I definitely need to pick up more from Sally Hepworth – the amount of suspense was perfect and the intrigue was there. I had to know what was happening with these couples!

What Sally Hepworth title should I pick up next?
