My Thoughts: 5/5 stars – This whole series has been great – this one is a standalone and you do not need to read the other books prior, but it does include little mentions of past characters and locations. Despite this one being a solid 5 stars, I think my favorite is still PHANTOM, but all three books are amazing (if you’re a fan of the genre). This book comes with many trigger warnings and you’ll be able to find the full list on Greer Rivers’ website. I’m glad she doesn’t include them in the book, simply because not all readers want to know what to expect, but it is good that you do have access to the list. I know that this genre isn’t for everyone because its a rather intense romance novel with lots of spice, but it also includes murder and revenge. I don’t want to give away too much in terms of the plot because I think the synopsis does a good job not spoiling anything. I definitely got the Sweeney Todd vibes and the inclusion of Medusa elements and Hamlet were sprinkled in throughout. So, if you like your novels spicy with some murder and organized crime, grab this book and the rest of the series.

Greer Rivers is a former crime fighter in a suit, but now happily leaves that to her characters as a romance author! A born and raised Carolinian, Greer says “y’all”, the occasional “bless your heart” (when necessary), and feels comfortable using legal jargon in everyday life.
