My Thoughts: 4/5 stars
Look at me stumbling across another complete series edition of a book. I gotta say, it’s a super convenient way to binge through a four book series in a couple of days, and just not lose momentum by having to wait for the next one to load on the Kindle (minor inconveniences, right?) Even if you’ve already read the series, I would recommend grabbing this one for the epilogue, because who doesn’t love new content in a series you enjoyed?
If you’ve seen any other reviews of mine of dark romance books, then you already know that I love anything mafia, organized crime, assassins, etc. Give me all the blood, gore, and violence – I’m still a horror and thriller lover to my core. These are just an added bonus that they’re incredibly steamy to go along with the excitement and murder. We have an array of characters, but Viola is our FMC and she’s an assassin. Things get complicated when she finds herself falling for her newest target and his friends – Lorcan, Dino, and Jude. Think that keeps a “why choose” complicated? Well, lets add in Dante, her mentor, and you’re all in for a treat.
It’s hard to really dive into the details because I don’t want to spoil things within different books, if that makes sense. Keep in mind, all the trigger warnings. I always recommend that you check out the full list of trigger warnings from the author before starting any dark romance novels like this one! If you’ve read anything by Fox before, then you already know you’re in for a treat!
