This was a great introduction to the Twisted Vows series and there’s no doubt in my mind that I will be getting the first book – because I have to know about Misty and Damon. While this can be read as a standalone without issue, this is one of those series where the books are all connected and involves a band of brothers. So we all know we’ll have at least two more books with the younger brothers. My introduction was Matthias and Scarlet.
Scarlet is the remaining heir to the Laurent family, and is entitled to her family’s seat in the Order. However, with the rules, it must be a male at the table, so whenever she marries then they will inherit her place. This, obviously, makes her a target for many that are wanting to be initiated. Over the last decade, she’s had someone watching over her, without her knowledge. Honoring a promise made a decade ago, Matthias is waiting until her 25th birthday to marry her. Oh boy, once her birthday hits, all hell breaks loose and things get messy.
All kinds of spice and steamy scenes and the violence that comes with books about secret societies. If you aren’t a fan of either, then this might not be the book for you. There’s stalking, touch her and die vibes, and even kidnapping – but all in the name of love, right? I can’t wait to read book one and then see what comes out next with the two other brothers! I think I’ve found another new author that I’ll instantly download when a new book drops.
