ANOTHER FINE MESS – Lindy Ryan (Released April 15th, 2025)

You can see my review for BLESS YOUR HEART here!

Book Description:

Another Fine Mess is a horror novel that combines mystery, humor, and heart. It follows the Evans women, who have kept the undead from rising in their southeast Texas town for over a century. However, the dead sometimes rise too quickly. In Another Fine Mess, Lenore Evans, Luna, and the new sheriff must uncover what threatens everything they love.

My Thoughts: 4/5 stars

Did you also love Bless Your Heart by Lindy Ryan? Then, you’ll be equally excited to be reunited with the remaining Evans women! If you haven’t read Bless Your Heart, then I suggest you do before starting this one because it’ll spoil who did and didn’t survive book one. Plus, the Evans family is hilarious and wonderful, so you won’t regret getting to know these ladies and their unique talents for dealing with all things undead.

The Evans women are the last remaining of their family that protects their small Texas town from the undead. After quite the battle in book one, they’re faced with a new threat that they haven’t encountered before. They’re put to the test to save their town from a new evil stalking their loved ones.

There’s more of everything you loved about book one. More blood. More monsters and undead. More Lenore and Luna. I know it’s been kind of billed as a cozy horror novel, but I’d say there’s a lot more blood than you’d expect for that subgenre. There’s a perfect balance between some dark humor and horror, and Ryan knows how to create some memorable characters. I really hope there’s a book three!

  1. Ha, I love how you reviewed this book because I was literally thinking it sounds too cozy for me, and then you added that it gets gruesome in some places. I’m new to this blog; I was looking for more horror reviewers, so I’m glad I found you!
