My Thoughts: 5/5 stars – Well, I just found a new author I love. How I’ve never read her other books, I’ll never know, BUT now I have her backlist to keep me occupied while I wait for the next book in this new series. THE ARROGANT ONE is such a fast read – just shy of 400 pages and I devoured it. The writing, the chapters, the chemistry between the characters – I just couldn’t get enough of it.
Hart is one of five brothers (can’t wait to get to know the other four) that run the Weston Group – incredibly successful and own numerous high end restaurants and clubs throughout LA. He’s known for having one-night stands and wants nothing to do with anything long term with a woman. Sadie is successful in her own right on social media, but has her own secrets that require anonymity. When their paths cross, the chemistry is instant and jumps off the page. The banter between them, the immediate draw to one another, and the incredibly steamy one-night stand (or so they think).
If you aren’t looking for a lot of spice and smut, then you should probably tread carefully because it gets going in chapter one, and honestly doesn’t really let up on the steam between Sadie and Hart. They both go against their better judgment and decide to play with fire as their obsessions grow. Will their secrets be the end of them before it truly begins? Clear out an evening and get lost in the start of this new series.
