My Thoughts: 4/5 stars – While this can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend picking up book one as there are some plot points that do extend into this book. However, you will not feel lost without that background information. I love anything paranormal and I love a good mafia romance, with those genres colliding, I knew I was in for some fun. HIS DARK VENDETTA is book two in the Bonded in Blood series and we’re back with our favorite organized crime blood demon clan. Blood demons are different than vampires, so definitely not a vampire romance.
Luca is out for revenge after the attack on his family and will stop at nothing to get it. Siobhan is feisty and strong willed and this creates the perfect storm for some incredible chemistry and the spice between these two did not disappoint! This is a dark mafia romance, so you can expect to see violence and brutality from the brothers, we are also dealing with blood demons, so there’s no shortage on gore and blood. I think there’s a good balance though so that it’s not too overwhelming for those that aren’t wanting horror-style gore.
I can’t wait for book three and can’t wait to see how this interconnected universe expands. If you want something action packed and bloody, then you need to start with HER DARK SALVATION and get in on this series. As always with dark romance, please check the trigger warnings from the author before starting!
