UNHOLY UNION – Lana Sinclair (Released August 21st, 2025)

Book Description:
Born into hatred. Bound by marriage. Consumed by a forbidden fire.
I was a pawn to end a mafia war. A peace offering from my father to his bloodthirsty rivals. Nothing more than a pretty plaything for the ruthless heir to the throne held by our enemies.
Cato Valente is a monster, and I’m the pet trapped inside his gilded cage. Cold, cruel, and cunning, he demands a loyal and obedient wife.
But my devotion is to vengeance, and his downfall is my only desire.
He intends to break me, but I refuse to be tamed. I am a problem, not a prize. A viper in disguise, not a wife.
His unyielding grip doesn’t scare me. It’s the storm in his eyes and the heat of his touch that make my heart pound. It’s the way my body begins to betray me no matter how hard I try to resist him.
In a world where love is weakness, hatred is a weapon, and wielding power is the only way to survive, the once-sacred line between treachery and temptation begins to blur when two enemies are forced together in an unholy union.
My Thoughts: 4/5 stars
This was my introduction to Lana Sinclair and I can guarantee you that this will not be the last book I read by her! UNHOLY UNION is the best combination of mafia romance meets arranged marriages. I love everything about these tropes and genres, so I was a very happy camper before even starting. Two families who have been in a war for decades is trying to find a way to peace, and unfortunately in the mafia, that means marriage and children. Joining the families and strengthening the bonds and power. Cato Valente is the oldest son and eventual heir to his family’s enterprise and he is now betrothed to Sabrina Corsini. Her father signs her away and she meets her enemy-turned-husband, and he also happens to be the one who killed her brother.
The chemistry between these two jumps off the page and I’ve become a sucker for an enemies-to-lovers in the mafia romance genre. The back and forth between Sabrina and Cato, the “touch her and die” energy, the spice, and seeing their hatred transform into genuine care was wonderful. Violence is expected with organized crime and I’d highly recommend double checking those trigger warnings before starting. There were some unanswered questions at the end and I hope that means there are more books coming our way!
About the Author:
Lana Sinclair writes dark romance where the villain always gets the girl. Her stories feature dangerously psychotic men, delicious obsession, and enough red flags to make your therapist nervous. As a dark rom girly herself, when she’s not writing, she’s either diving into her next read, spending time with family or bingeing true crime shows.
