Perpetually playing catch up at the end of every month. Here are a few reviews that I’ve been hoarding over on Instagram! With more to come

HE’S SO POSSESSED WITH ME – Corey Liu (Released October 14th, 2025 – Thank you Novel Suspects for the gifted copy)
Book Description:
“Ren says he’s in love, but Colin knows better.
Sure, he can’t remember much about how it all began. But he remembers dancing at a club he and Ren were too young to dance in. He remembers the boys who harassed them on their way home. He remembers a ghost emerging from the trees, and a white hand reaching for Ren through a thick fog. What Colin can’t remember is what happened next. Only two things are clear to Ren is different now, and the new guy vying for his heart is not who he claims to be.
With the help of two unlikely allies and a cranky old medium, Colin must learn to conquer his self-doubt and save his best friend from a love that could cost him his life.”
My Quick Thoughts: 4/5 stars – Whoever billed this as “Jennifer’s Body meets Heartstopper” was spot on. Campy, queer, over the top characters and dialog, supernatural, and a fun YA horror novel. Demons, memorable characters, a great villain, and a quick read that’s perfect for fall!

TINY WILD THINGS – Danielle M. Wong (Released August 4th, 2025 – Thank you Kate Rocks Literary Services for the gifted copy)
Book Description:
I have always been drawn to tiny, wild things…
Journalist Fran Hendrix thinks she’s about to get the scoop of her career. A reclusive artist has chosen her to take his first interview since the tragic death of his wife years before. Not long after arriving at his secluded country estate, Fran receives a shocking anonymous message. He is lying to you. Get out while you can.
But Fran is a journalist. She’s not going anywhere without her story, even when her host refuses to answer her questions while seeming to know things about her life she hasn’t told anyone. When he suggests they go hunting together, Fran sees it as a chance to finally break through his defenses. But alone with him in the wilderness, she starts to question whether the note was right all along – and she should have gotten out while she still had the chance…
My Quick Thoughts: 3.5/5 stars – If you were preparing for the biggest interview of your career but then received an anonymous message saying, “He is lying to you. Get out while you can.” Would you listen? Fran is put in a difficult situation when she has to decide between doing her job as a journalist and taking the most sought after interview with Jonathan Kramer, an artist who has only ever granted 4 interviews in his entire career. The tension. The manipulation. All the creepy vibes and you just want to scream at her to follow those instincts telling her to run. A super fun and intense read!
