I’ve dropped the ball this month but this blog tour is the perfect thing to get me back on here! This book. Jane Henry can do no wrong and I’ve been a fan since picking up her Wicked Vows series.
Thank you to Valentine PR and to the author for the gifted ebook copy!
WICKED ALTAR – Jane Henry (Releasing January 30th, 2026)
This is now available on Kindle Unlimited and for download!

Book Description:
I’ve hated Cavin McCarthy since the day he made me cry in a school cupboard. He was my tormentor—the cruel bastard who turned my name into a joke and my life into hell. Now? He’s my fiancé.
An arranged marriage neither of us wanted, brokered by families who deal in blood and power. I’d refuse if I could. But my sister is dying, and the McCarthy’s hold the key to saving her life. So I’ll walk down the aisle. I’ll say the vows. I’ll become Mrs. Cavin McCarthy. But I’ll never forgive the arrogant jerk.
Except… the monster I remember isn’t the man before me now. The boy who destroyed me has become someone who’d burn the world down to keep me safe. Who touches me like I’m something precious instead of ruined. Whose rough hands and rougher words unravel every defense I’ve built.
When his fingers wrap around my throat and his voice goes low in my ear, I’m not thinking about revenge anymore… I’m thinking about surrender. And in the McCarthy family, surrender might be the most dangerous thing of all.
My Thoughts: 5/5 stars
Honestly, Jane Henry can do no wrong. If you read her Dangerous Doms series, then you are going to want to pick this one up. Here comes the next generation and I was so excited to get back into this universe. You don’t need to read the other series in order to read this one, but it’s always fun finding those little Easter eggs as you go. Personally, I feel like it would be a good history lesson as to how the McCarthy family handles their business and how they have grown/expanded their empires.
Cavin is fresh out of prison and learns that he is to marry Erin. To say they aren’t thrilled would be a massive understatement. Cavin mercilessly bullied her throughout school and now they find themselves in this predicament. Erin is an interesting and complex character. She seemed to be an easy target back then, but everyone, especially Cavin learns that they grossly underestimated her and what she is capable of. Their chemistry jumps off the page but so does their disdain for each other (in the beginning). If you love the enemies-to-lovers trope, then this will be perfection.
As always, there’s some spice and so much more between the characters on an emotional level. It’s not just tossed into the story. Which I have always appreciated in Henry’s books. This is a dark mafia romance. So check the trigger warnings before starting, because there is some violence and bloodshed, this is the mafia we’re dealing with. I cannot wait for more and highly recommend this book!

About the Author:
Fueled by dark chocolate and even darker coffee, USA Today bestselling author Jane Henry writes what she loves to read— character-driven, unputdownable romance featuring dominant alpha males and the powerful heroines who bring them to their knees. She’s believed in the power of love and romance since Belle won over the beast, and finally decided to write love stories of her own.
