TAG, YOU’RE IT – Kerry Wilkinson (Released January 30th, 2026)

Book Description:

It’s just a game… that someone would kill for.

When Jessie enters Tag, You’re It, she thinks she knows what she’s getting into. A sprawling, isolated mansion in beautiful countryside. Twenty contestants, all supposedly strangers. The rules seem simple…

  1. Each day, one of you is ‘It’.
  2. The person who is ‘It’ must complete a secret task to tag someone else.
  3. Whoever ends the day as ‘It’ is out… and loses the chance to win millions.

But most importantly… Don’t. Trust. Anybody.

Jessie is certain friendships are key to getting through, even fake ones. Some people would do anything to win that money. But nobody knows that Jessie has her own secret reasons for playing the game…

Then one of the players is found dead. When the police arrive to ask their questions, how far will Jessie go to hide the truth about her past – and the real reason she’s there?

And in the end, is this game really worth killing for? A totally addictive thriller set around a deadly game in which nothing is as it seems. Perfect for anyone who loves The Traitors, Agatha Christie or Alice Feeney. And remember: Don’t. Trust. Anybody…

My Thoughts: 4/5 stars

Tag, but with a twist. A simple and fun childhood game turns into a cutthroat competition on a new reality show with twenty contestants. There are just a few simple rules to follow: someone is “it” every day, that person must complete a task and tag someone else, the person who is “it” at the end of the day is out and loses their shot at millions. Seems simple, right? What could possibly go wrong or be sinister about this? That prologue just grabs you and I wish it kept that same explosive energy and pacing. The story builds a little on the slower side but then the end it begins to ramp up again.

I loved the alternating storylines – game day narration and the transcripts from the police interviews. I’ll never tire of that format. This had some frustrating characters, a fun concept, and kept my curiosity piqued. Another solid thriller from Wilkinson and I can’t wait for the next one!
