Happy belated release day!
Thanks to the amazing author, H.A. Leuschel, for the copy in exchange for my honest review.
MY SWEET FRIEND by H.A. Leuschel (out now!)
I read her short story collection, MANIPULATED LIVES, earlier this year. You can find my review here.

My Thoughts: 5/5 stars!
After reading MANIPULATED LIVES by H.A. Leuschel, I was very excited to read her newest novella. MY SWEET FRIEND definitely did not disappoint! I love short stories. I know a lot of people aren’t fans because they want more from a story, but I can appreciate a story that can pack a punch even though it has a small page count.
Once again, Leuschel brings the readers into a manipulative relationship. This time between two friends. Do we ever truly know those that we find ourselves closest to? We follow colleagues, Alexa and Rosie, they befriend each other at the Parisian PR company they both work for. Everyone seems to love Alexa and what she brings to the table – in work and her friendships. What happens when Jack comes between the two women?
I don’t want to continue too much more. It is a novella, so I can’t give out any spoilers. Leuschel does a great job keeping the reader guessing throughout the read. Who is the victim and who is the manipulator? I was impressed with how well the characters were developed in this novella (at just under 100 pages).
If you want a quick and tense read, then you need to pick up this novella. Are our first impressions what impact our friendships and what we believe to be true about someone? What is reality and what is fiction? Yet another great story about a master manipulator from H.A. Leuschel.
Definitely recommending grabbing both MY SWEET FRIEND and MANIPULATED LIVES!
