CEMETERY GIRL – David Bell (out now!)

My Thoughts: 4/5 stars!

This is my second book by David Bell, and it did not disappoint! I loved BRING HER HOME, so I was anxious to dive into another book of his, which CEMETERY GIRL is at a different pace it still had my complete attention and I couldn’t stop flipping the pages.

It’s been four years since Caitlin vanished, but she has been found unharmed and silent. She refuses to testify against the suspect in her kidnapping and it is eating away at her father, Tom. Why won’t Caitlin testify and what truly happened to her in those four years? Tom sets out on his own investigation into her disappearance – is he fully prepared to handle what he continues to dig up?

While this isn’t a fast-paced and edge-of-your-seat thriller it still grabs your attention. This is the slow unraveling of a man’s sanity. We are brought through the ups and downs that Tom experiencing throughout this entire ordeal. He desperately wants to know what happened to Caitlin and why she is acting the way she is. David Bell does an incredible job pulling us into the mind of Tom as he deteriorates.

If you’re a fan of the slower paced mysteries that really get into the characters’ minds, then this needs to be on your TBR! I’ll be picking up more from David Bell in the future.

What are some David Bell books you recommend?
