My Thoughts: 4/5 stars!

This is one of those books that has been making the rounds on Bookstagram and all over the place. I keep hearing incredible reviews and people are referring to this as the debut thriller of the year – whenever I see this build up for a book I’ll head into it optimistically. You never want to build a book up that much in your mind before reading because you’re at risk of missing those expectations. THE SILENT PATIENT was one that pleasantly surprised me!

I don’t want to go into too much detail on the plot, because I think its best to go into this one blind. I’ll keep this short and sweet. The main reason why I took some off for this one was because it took so long to get to the twist and some action. I had noticed a few times where I was beginning to lose interest but I continued because of the rave reviews I had seen. It was a solid twist that I wasn’t expecting and there’s not doubt in Michaelides’ writing abilities. I will continue to look for more from this debut author in the future!
