You Fit the Pattern – Jane Haseldine

I got this one finished at the end of March, but things have been so hectic that I’m catching up on a few more reviews!

Thanks to the author and Kensington Books for the free advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

YOU FIT THE PATTERN – Jane Haseldine (out now!)

This is the fourth book in the Julia Gooden series. You can see my review for WORTH KILLING FOR here!

My Thoughts: 5/5 stars!

I started the Julia Gooden series with book two (DUPLICITY) and I’ve been hooked ever since! What I love about this series is that we aren’t looking through the eyes of the investigators or the detectives, Julia is a reporter, so she doesn’t have the same restrictions as the police do.

With YOU FIT THE PATTERN, these gruesome killings are beginning to hit close to home. The women that are being killed have a striking resemblance to Julia. Same age group, same color hair, same build, and all while they’re out jogging. Things get worse when the killer contacts her directly. Demanding that she make him famous and give him a platform through her writing, otherwise the killings will get much worse.

With elements of voodoo, Satanism, Wiccan rituals, and a cold and calculating serial killer, there’s not shortage in suspense. A great whodunit, cat and mouse thriller! I’ve always loved Julia throughout this series – she’s a strong female lead that doesn’t mess around. This one can definitely be read as a standalone with little confusion. However, I would highly recommend the other installments in the series because they’re all really enjoyable crime fiction books.
