My Thoughts: 4/5 stars

If there was ever a time to almost want to cheer on the serial killer, I think this is the book for it. ANIMAL brings us a killer that seeks to avenge the innocent animals that are tortured and killed by people. This killer does not discriminate either and is quite the traveler, so no one is out of reach. I think that this sheds a lot of light on the different kinds of animal cruelty around the world – everything from dog fighting, poachers, hunters of endangered species, and more.

Co-authored by Dr. Munish Batra (a surgeon and humanitarian) and best-selling author Keith R. A. DeCandido – together they bring us a grisly and intense murder mystery. This isn’t like your typical police procedural novel, this is action packed, gruesome, and the pace never lets up. I think this also brings to question right and wrong. Yes, its wrong to murder people (obviously), but what the victims did is also horrific. If you’re looking for an action packed horror/thriller, then I highly recommend picking up ANIMAL. Just remember – there are some scenes of animal abuse involved.
