My Thoughts: 4/5 stars

This is book two in the Kelly Pruett series and you can pick this up as a standalone without any issues. Mary Keliikoa is a new to me author and I definitely want to go back and read book one! Plenty of suspense and thrills and I loved getting to know Kelly.

A private investigator recovering from an injury from her last case is happy to hear from a high school classmate to find their missing father. Something to break up all the infidelity cases, but I this going to put her in dangerous territory?

This book is around 200 pages and it’s super quick and packs a punch. No extras, no lulls in pacing, just all action with the investigation. Highly recommend and I hope to see more of Kelly Pruett!

About the Author:

Mary Keliikoa is the author of the Lefty and Agatha award nominated PI Kelly Pruett mystery series and the upcoming Misty Pines mystery series featuring Sheriff Jax Turner slated for release in September 2022. Her short stories have appeared in Woman’s World and in the anthology Peace, Love and Crime: Crime Fiction Inspired by Music of the ‘60s. A Pacific NW native, she spent a part of her life working around lawyers. Combining her love of legal and books, she creates a twisting mystery where justice prevails.
