My Thoughts: 4/5 stars
This is my first book by Jackie Walsh and it most certainly won’t be my last. HER WHITE LIE is a twisty and suspenseful ride from start to finish and you won’t want to put it down. We get alternating POVs and one isn’t all that reliable, but the author uses this to weave an incredible thriller for the readers.
Tara and Faye are our main characters and narrators. Two former best friends and roommates that had a falling out years ago but when a body is discovered in their old apartment they’re forced to come together again. Secrets and lies are slowly being uncovered and they’ll have to reexamine their friendship and what brought things to an end between them.
I don’t want to spoil anything but neither women are all that likeable and as the story begins to take shape we realize both women aren’t entirely reliable. If you’re looking for a quick thriller then I highly recommend adding this to your TBR.
