LAST GIRL GHOSTED – Lisa Unger (Released October 5th, 2021)

Book Description:

Secrets, obsession and vengeance converge in this riveting thriller about an online dating match turned deadly cat-and-mouse game, from the New York Times bestselling author of Confessions on the 7:45.

Think twice before you swipe.

She met him through a dating app. An intriguing picture on a screen, a date at a downtown bar. What she thought might be just a quick hookup quickly became much more. She fell for him—hard. It happens sometimes, a powerful connection with a perfect stranger takes you by surprise. Could it be love?

But then, just as things were getting real, he stood her up. Then he disappeared—profiles deleted, phone disconnected. She was ghosted.

Maybe it was her fault. She shared too much, too fast. But isn’t that always what women think—that they’re the ones to blame? Soon she learns there were others. Girls who thought they were in love. Girls who later went missing. She had been looking for a connection, but now she’s looking for answers. Chasing a digital trail into his dark past—and hers—she finds herself on a dangerous hunt. And she’s not sure whether she’s the predator—or the prey.

My Thoughts: 4/5 stars

Another new book from Lisa Unger is here and I really enjoyed this tale of suspense and mystery. Reading books like LAST GIRL GHOSTED makes me so happy that I just barely missed online dating – it got super popular right after I met my now husband and I’m not sad that I never had to deal with it. You never truly know who could be on the other end of the messages you receive.

Wren meets Adam and she thinks she’s found the one. He seems perfect in every way and she feels like there’s a true connection between them to where she shares some of her best kept secrets about her childhood. Then one day, Adam just disappears. Did she share too much? Did she get too serious too soon? Then a private investigator contacts her and he’s also looking for Adam – there are other girls missing that could be connected to him. Then begins a cat and mouse game to find Adam.

Plenty of mystery and suspense to keep you glued to the pages. Unger always creates the best atmosphere for her books and I haven’t been disappointed yet. Highly recommend this and her other books!
