My Thoughts: 3/5 stars
I think this one started out very promising and I was really enjoying it! However, there were parts that didn’t entirely work for me but that ending is what completely threw me, and not in the way you want from a thriller. THE COLLECTIVE is my third book by Alison Gaylin and I’ve loved her other two books I’ve read, but not all of them can be a home run for every reader. I think this had a ton of potential and it was an easy and quick read, but the ending almost didn’t feel worth the build up. I’m in the minority here, so don’t let this middle-of-the-road review deter you. It’s still a solid thriller and I plan to pick up more from Gaylin in the future.
