I am so excited and sad to say that the final installment in the Midnight Manor series is here! I’m sad because I devoured this series and absolutely loved it all. I’ve also found a new auto-buy author for future books.

Available on Kindle Unlimited and the audiobook is narrated by: Sebastian York & Kit Swann

Book Description:
A dark contemporary billionaire romance with a tortured hero, touch her and die, and secret society tropes from USA Today Bestselling Author duo P. Rayne.
My life changed forever the day I saved Obsidian Voss from drowning in the ocean.
When my father lands himself in trouble, I take a job working for Obsidian, one of the country’s most famous billionaires. It doesn’t take long for me to realize that there’s more behind the façade he presents to the world—a darker, more dangerous side.
Still, I’m drawn to him. As he introduces me to a world I never knew existed, I find myself falling for him. But I’m torn because I came to Midnight Manor with a hidden agenda, and I’ve been lying to Obsidian from the start. Eventually, he’s going to find out.
My secret will change everything. And if Obsidian really is the monster he thinks he is, what will he do to me?

My Thoughts: 5/5 stars
This series has been a favorite of mine since the beginning. Dark romance and retellings? While I’m so excited for this final installment, I’m also very sad that the series is coming to an end. Ran out of Voss brothers, but this is a very fitting end to the series. We’ve had Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel, Cinderella, and now the Little Mermaid. We meet Ariana and Obsidian – their paths cross when she saves him from drowning in the ocean but leaves before he’s fully conscious. When her father and brother discover she saved a billionaire, they convince her to get a job working for Obsidian to try and get money from the Voss family to save them from trouble.
As with the rest of the series, there is a lot of spice in this book, so if you aren’t fan, then maybe give this series a pass. These aren’t like rom coms, these are dark romance and that always comes with a nice list of trigger warnings. The authors do include them in the back of the book, so if you are curious, you can check those out! Considering their power and line of work, there is always a small amount of violence in these books, and this one is no different.
One thing I’ll forever love and appreciate about these books are the details the authors include that are elements from the fairytales. Not just the names being similar, but her having red hair, the things he has hazy memories of (like Prince Eric does), her love of swimming, and so many more things that I don’t want to spoil. I’ll miss this series and while you don’t HAVE to read the others, I highly recommend that you do!
