Now that my weekends are slowing down for August, I will be bombarding you with posts, but to start off with that here is the newest from Jane Henry!
Thank you Valentine PR for the gifted ebook copy and for having me on the tour – while I love posting on release day, I also love being able to help boost everything shortly after release to keep the hype up.
WICKED RUIN – Jane Henry (Released August 14th, 2026)
This is the next book in the McCarthy Family Legacy series and is available for download and on Kindle Unlimited!

Book Description:
He has a fiancée. But I’m carrying his secret.
I’ve been in love with Declan McCarthy for years. He’s dangerous. Forbidden. Already promised to another woman. Every instinct told me to run the night he kissed me. I stayed anyway. Now I’m carrying his baby and he doesn’t know it.
Declan’s sense of duty keeps him blind to the one person who’s loved him all along. I’ve spent years pining for a man who can’t choose me. Except now I can’t hide this secret anymore.
If the truth comes out, I become a target. And the only man standing between me and the vengeance that’s going to unleash is Declan. Too bad, they don’t know he’s also the man who will burn the whole world down before he lets anyone touch what’s his.
My Thoughts: I love Jane Henry and I will continue to read anything she releases, especially when it comes to the mafia families. While this can be read as a standalone, I do recommend picking up the other books in the series (this is book three) because some background will be explained for the sisters, Bridget and Erin. Also, who doesn’t want more of the Irish mafia family drama and morally gray MMCs? I loved the characters and the chemistry between Declan and Bridget jumped off the page and sucked you in. You’re really holding out hope for these two, despite him being promised to another woman, you know, “for the good of the family”. As expected, Henry gives us all kinds of spice and longing between them. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star review is completely a “me as a reader” thing and nothing against the book itself. I’m personally not a fan of the unexpected pregnancy tropes, but I know a lot of other readers love this in their dark romance books. I cannot wait for the next in the series and will be anxiously waiting for that release!
