Anyone looking for a guilty pleasure read? If you said yes, then here is the mystery/thriller for you. With the romance elements to it and The Raven Room, being an exclusive sex club, it has all the necessary ingredients for a guilty pleasure thriller.

Meredith is a journalism student and she is determined to launch her career by writing an expose on The Raven Room. What is The Raven Room you ask? Well, it’s an exclusive and illicit sex club that is hidden in Chicago’s Chinatown. Only card-carrying members allowed. Meredith finds herself enamored with a member of the club, Julian Reeve. Not only is he of interest to her story, but he also plays a role in expanding her sexual horizons.

She tries her best to stay focused on the two recent murders that The Raven Room is believed to be connected to. Is Julian involved in any way? Who is the killer? Will Meredith be able to find the killer, even if it means picking between her two passions?

This may seem like more of an erotic novel, but there is the mystery, murder, and the dangerous world of organized crime. Are there ties to the mafia? What other secrets are there about The Raven Room?

I really enjoyed this one and the only reason why this wasn’t a solid 4 stars was because I wasn’t aware it was book two in the trilogy. I feel like I missed a little bit of information but would definitely go back and read THE RAVEN ROOM to get some pieces filled in!
