My Thoughts: 3/5 stars

This one was a mammoth at just under 550 pages but it kept a good pacing throughout so it didn’t feel like it was quite that big of an undertaking. BECAUSE OF YOU by Helene Fermont is definitely a more character driven novel and you find yourself becoming instantly invested in Hannah and her life. This book does dive into some difficult topics such as loss, abuse, rape, and divorce, but we do get to experience the good events in life as well.

It’s hard to really describe a lot of this book without going into too much more. The synopsis gives the perfect amount of information. We follow Hannah and her life story throughout the majority of her adult life. The characters felt so authentic and real because of the events that occur. I’m sure some elements and experiences will be relatable for some readers.

If you’re looking for more of a character study, then this will be a perfect edition to your TBR. No crazy twists, no need to suspend some belief or reality, just a story about a woman experiences love and loss with her family and friends. Definitely will be picking up more from Fermont in the future.
