My Thoughts: 4/5 stars

After a few so-so books this was just what I needed. Not my typical genre but I think that helped a lot and I wasn’t expecting to learn so much about wine! DECANTED brings us a dual timeline story weaving together the experiences of Samantha and her great-aunt Vivian and their lives surrounding the wine making process in France. Sam is wanting to leave her high-stress job and follow what her great-aunt did – go out to France to work the grape harvest.

I learned so much in this book without it feeling like a textbook or step-by-step process on making wine. Sheehan did a great job weaving this all into the book and what the characters were experiencing where it felt so natural. With her expertise in the area all of that knowledge shined through. I liked the dual timelines and seeing Vivian’s and Sam’s lives take shape as they discovered who they were while in France. I highly recommend and you’ll definitely find yourself craving a glass of wine while reading.
