TLC Book Tour Feature- Her Sister’s Death by K.L. Murphy

Another little blog tour to round out the year!

Thanks to TLC Book Tours and CamCat Books for the gifted copy in exchange for my honest review and tour spot

HER SISTER’S DEATH – K.L. Murphy (Released December 13th, 2022)

Book Description:

She wanted the truth. She should have known better.

When her sister is found dead in a Baltimore hotel room, reporter Val Ritter’s world is turned upside down. An empty pill bottle at the scene leads the police to believe the cause of death is suicide. With little more than her own conviction, Val teams up with Terry Martin, a retired detective who has his own personal interest in the case, to prove that something more sinister is possible.

In 1921, Bridget Wallace, a guest on the brink of womanhood, is getting ready to marry an eligible older man. But what seems like a comfortable match soon takes a dark turn. Does the illustrious history of the stately Franklin hotel hide another, lesser known history of death?

Mini Review: My Thoughts: 4/5 stars – This was my introduction to K.L. Murphy and I’m surprised I hadn’t heard of this author before! Not only was there a great amount of suspense, but the characters also helped move the plot along and you really get to know them. A woman determined to get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding her sister’s apparent suicide, a retired detective, and a hotel with a sinister and mysterious past make for a quick and thrilling read! I will for sure be keeping an eye out for more from Murphy the next time I’m browsing the bookshelves and I highly recommend giving this one a try.
