My 200th Book Read in 2017 – The Girl in 6E by A.R. Torre

Holy crap! Guys how is this possible?

I set my reading challenge for 52 books – I figured that one book a week was manageable. Never did I think that the #CJSReads and #allthebookreviews would take off the way that they did. I’m so happy that we’ve been able to read so many amazing books so far this year.

I knew the book 200 was coming up and I wanted to make it something great. I loved this series when I read it last year and I’ve been dying to reread it. So this was perfectly timed 🙂

THE GIRL IN 6E by A.R. Torre

Here’s the synopsis:

I haven’t touched a human in three years. That seems like it would be a difficult task, but it’s not. Not anymore, thanks to the internet.

I am, quite possibly, the most popular recluse ever. Not many shut-ins have a 200-member fan club, a bank account in the seven-figure range, and hundreds of men lining up to pay for undivided attention.

They get satisfaction, I get a distraction. Their secret desires are nothing compared to why I hide… my lust for blood, my love of death.

Taking their money is easy. Keeping all these secrets… one is bound to escape.

What if you hid yourself away because all you could think of was killing? And what if one girl’s life depending on you venturing into society?

My Thoughts: 5/5 stars!

This was a 5 star read for me both times I’ve read it! Deanna hasn’t had any physical contact with anyone in 3 years. How is that possible? How does she make her living? I had so many questions when I read the back of the book. Deanna has an uncontrollable blood lust and constantly fantasizes about murder. It was so interesting looking into the mind of Deanna. I’d go insane if I couldn’t leave my house – cabin fever is real problem in my life.

Her clients and subscribers know her as Jessica, a college co-ed that’s camming for money for tuition. This is definitely a guilty pleasure read – you get a front row seat as Jessica works with her diverse clientele. You get to peak behind the camera and see what happens – the readers also get to learn some different fetishes and how they relate to the characters and story. So it’s definitely got some explicit content.

Without giving away too much, Deanna discovers that one of her clients has particular tastes and when a little girl goes missing she uses her extensive network to try and save her. Will she have to leave the confines of her apartment and control her murderous urges.

Throughout this book we’re brought through the eyes of many characters and it was done seamlessly. Sometimes it can be choppy and inconsistent, but Torre did a fantastic job meshing together their stories.

If you want a page turning suspense novel then I’d highly recommend this one! If you want murder and blood lust with a sexy twist, then you need to grab this one. I was so mad I flew through the trilogy, but DO NOT DISTURB and IF YOU DARE are both just as amazing as the first book. That’s a rare thing with book series.
